Wappingers Falls woman arrested for stealing from New York State Unemployment

PRESS RELEASE

Fishkill, New York – On September 7, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Lisa E. Vasquez-Aviles, age 49, of Wappingers Falls, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rd, a Class D Felony, and Falsifying Business Records 1st, a Class E Felony.

An investigation revealed that between April of 2012 and August of 2013 while residing in the Village of Fishkill, Vasquez-Aviles fraudulently received over $5,000 worth of unemployment insurance benefits when she was gainfully employed.

The New York State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Labor.

Vasquez-Aviles was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Village of Fishkill Court on September 12, 2016, at 9:00 AM.
