Wappingers Falls man charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon

On September 3, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Latif S. Reid-Ogarro, age 22, of Wappingers Falls, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony. Alara Bedka, age 23, of East Fishkill, New York, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
On September 3, 2016, at about 10:25 PM, Troopers stopped a car on Route 9D in the Town of Fishkill for passing a red light. Troopers subsequently found that the occupants of the vehicle possessed a small quantity of marijuana and a revolver with a defaced serial number.
Reid-Ogarro was arraigned at the City of Beacon Court. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond and his next appearance was scheduled for September 9, 2016, at 9:00 AM, at the Town of Fishkill Court.
Bedka was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Fishkill Court on October 5, 2016, at 9:00 AM.
