Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary set to host 2nd annual Family day on September 18, 2016 from 10am – 4:00pm
Poughquag, NY August 29, 2016: The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary is set to host the annual Family day set for September 18k 2016 from 10- 2pm at the Beekman Fire House located on Beekman – Poughquag Road in the town of Beekman.
Each year we welcome hundreds of guests to the event to this free event. We have over 60 vendors that range from craft related to your direct sale type vendors. In addition, we also have a wide variety of food trucks to satisfy anyone’s taste. Lastly, we have children friendly activates including the Tumble Bus, bouncy houses, face painters as well as the popular touch a truck and fire satiety program. New to this year’s event will be a penny style penny social raffle. We have acquired dozens of gift certificates to local and national chain stores that will be raffled off. Calling for the raffle begins at 3:45pm. The event is organized by Beekman Auxiliary members Linda Vazquez and Anna Pettersen.
The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary’s primary goal is to provide relief and assistance for the Beekman Fire Fighters at the scene of fires, drills and other functions. We sponsor a variety of events including Bingo, Pasta Nights, Pancake Breakfasts, the annual Family Day and Cookies with Santa event which will beheld this year on December 4, 2016. Funds from our events are used to support the Beekman Fire Company with new equipment and supplies.
