Beacon man charged with possessing child pornography

PRESS RELEASE

Poughkeepsie, New York – On August 18, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jason E. Pavelock, 27 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for seven counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class E Felony.

Subsequent to an investigation conducted by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Pavelock was found to possess electronic devices that contained child pornography.

Pavelock was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.  He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court on August 23, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
