State Police arrest Catskill man for multiple weapons charges

On 08/09/16, New York State Police at Catskill arrested SHAWN J. BUTTERWORTH, age 38, of Catskill, NY. BUTTERWORTH was arrested as a result of a domestic incident that occurred at his residence. BUTTERWORTH was in possession of numerous illegal weapons at the time of his arrest. BUTTERWORTH was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd, a class E Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, a class C Felony, 5 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, a class D Felony and 6 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, a class A Misdemeanor.

Following his arrest, BUTTERWORTH was arraigned before T/J Wooten in the Town of Catskill Court and was remanded to the Greene County Jail on $25,000 cash bail $50,000 bond bail.
BUTTERWORTH has a preliminary hearing 8/12/16 at the Town of Catskill Court at 10 am.
