State Police in Dover arrest Pennsylvania man following sexual abuse investigation

Dover, New York – On July 20, 2016, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested Henry A. Fernandez, 50 years old, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, for Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class A Misdemeanors.

On July 19, 2016, Troopers were dispatched to investigate a reported sexual offense that occurred at Camp Berkshire in the Town of Dover. An investigation revealed that on July 18, 2016, Fernandez subjected a 13-year-old female victim to sexual contact.

Fernandez was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Moore in the Town of Amenia Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dover Court at a later date and time.
