Claverack, New York – On July 21, 2016, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested 26-year-old Michael P. Snyder of Claverack, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a Class E Felony.

Troopers were dispatched to a home located on County Route 27 to conduct a welfare check. While conducting interviews, Snyder entered the driveway of the residence in a Ford pick-up truck.  An investigation revealed that he was driving while intoxicated with a 3-year-old child passenger.

Snyder supplied a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .13%.  He was released on his own recognizance at the direction of the Town of Claverack Justice Court and directed to return at a later date.
