Bloomingburg woman arrested for Child Endangerment, leads police on chase

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Wurtsboro announce the arrest of AnnMarie Webb, age 32 of Bloomingburg, NY for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Reckless Endangerment 2nd, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer 3rd, and numerous vehicle and traffic summonses.

Troopers observed Ms. Webb using her cellular telephone on Main St in the Village of Bloomingburg while operating her vehicle. They attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Winterton Rd, at which time she accelerated to a speed of more than 40 mph over the posted 40 mile per hour zone in an attempt to evade the Troopers. Ms. Webb’s vehicle was ultimately stopped safely on Bronner Rd in in the Town of Mamakating after having been pursued through the Town of Mount Hope. Ms. Webb’s 3 year old child and family friend were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
