Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Report

Arrest : Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Joshua Helmich age 25 of Kerhonkson following an investigation of harassment via text messages.

Helmich was charged with the misdemeanor of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

On Monday February 23, 2015 Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Rosendale where the victim reported that her ex boyfriend, Joshua Helmich, sent her over three hundred harassing text messages over the course of a few hours.

Helmich was arrested at his residence in Kerhonkson and arraigned in the Town of Rosendale Court. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in the Town of Rosendale Court at a later date.

Arrest : Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Joseph E. Mannello, 59 years old, of Route 209, Kerhonkson, NY.

Mr Mannello was charged with the felony of sex offender registry violation in the second degree.

Investigation revealed that Mr Mannello failed to file a change of address within ten days of changing his registered address as a registered sex offender.

Mr Mannello was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and released on his ow recognizance to reappear at a later date.

Arrest : Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Randy A Valle, 27 years old, of 201 Everett Place, Maybrook NY.

Valle was charged with the felonies of Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the First Degree, Driving While Intoxicated as a felony and the misdemeanors of Circumventing an Interlock Device and Unauthorized Use of a Motor vehicle.

On Tuesday February 24, 2015 at approximately 4:10 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim had called Ulster County 911 and reported that Mr.Valle had taken her car without permission from an address on Rose Hill Road in the Town of Marbletown. Deputies located Mr.Valle operating the vehicle on Main Street in Rosendale and took him into custody.

Valle was transported to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office in Kingston and processed. He was then arraigned in the Town of Rosendale Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $7,500.oo cash bail or $75,000.00 property bond.
