Bloomington man arrested for possession of PCP and DWAI Drugs

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of a 33 year old man from Bloomington, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third degree, a Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth degree, a Felony and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

On July 4, 2016 Troopers from the SP Ellenville barracks were on routine patrol on State Route 32 in the Town of Ulster when they observed a gray 2007 Nissan Quest traveling at a high rate of speed. A Traffic stop was initiated and the operator was identified as Vincent E. Girard.

Further investigation revealed that Girard was in possession of approximately 4.7 grams of marijuana laced with PCP, 1.2 grams of cocaine and was driving his vehicle while he was impaired by drugs.

Vincent E. Girard was processed for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Girard was arraigned in the Town of Hurley Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail with no bail. Girard is to reappear in the Town of Ulster Court on July 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
