Town of Carmel DWI Holiday Roadcheck results in 5 Arrests
In an effort to curb aggressive driving during this Holiday weekend, predicted to be one of the busiest in terms of those traveling by motor vehicle, the State Police conducted a DWI Roadcheck in the Town of Carmel from late night July 1st into the early morning hours of July 2nd. Troopers screened over 96 cars resulting in 1 Felony DWI Arrest, 2 Misdemeanor DWI arrests and 3 Unlawful Possession of Marijuana arrests. The State Police are committed to its mission of keeping the roadways safe for those traveling during this busy holiday and will continue these efforts throughout this summer.
