Faye J. Killmer, of Hickory NC, formerly of Wassaic, NY, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 after battling Multiple Myeloma and Dementia. Faye Was born April 6, 1935 in Sharon, CT to the late Fredrick and Hazel (Sincerbox) Haskin. On May 7, 1955, she married Richard J. Killmer; the love of her life who preceded her in death on January 19, 2008. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers: Kenneth Haskin, Herbert (Janis) Haskin; grandsons: Nathan and Lucas Killmer; three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
Faye is survived by her children, sons: Daniel Killmer (Marta Weiss) of Wassaic, NY, Richard Killmer, Jr. (Bonita Boone) of Gaylorsville, CT, Kenneth Killmer of Pine Plains, NY; daughters: Susan Duncan, Pamela Killmer, Sherry Barton and husband Richard, all of Hickory, NC. She was a beloved grandmother to Matthew and Randy Killmer, Kerri Hupp, Percy and Jeremy Duncan, Tonya Smith, Fred Richards, Billy Jack and Travis Hubert, Alicia Matias, Cody Suzedelis, Reanne McFarland, Carrie Koch, Autumn and Jesse Killmer, Joshua, Zachary, McKenzie, Caleb and Jarrett Killmer; several great-grandchildren, one of which was a caregiver for Faye, Desaray Duncan; a brother, Fredrick (Joan) Haskin of Cary, NC; sister, Dolores (James) Callahan of Wassaic, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held July 9th 2016 at 1pm the Amenia Island Cemetery followed by committal of both Richard and Faye Joan Killmer. Afterwards there will be a gathering at the Wassaic Fire House.
