Poughkeepsie man charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated

Kent, New York – On February 21, 2015, New York State Police from the East Fishkill Barracks arrested Joseph N. Sparacino, 34 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction.

Troopers stopped the car Sparacino was operating on Interstate 84 for traveling in excess of 80 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. While interviewing Sparacino, Troopers noted clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Sparacino was charged with Felony DWI when it was discovered that he was convicted of DWI in October of 2005.

Sparacino supplied police with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% and was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear before the Town of Kent Court on March 4, 2015.
