‘Proof’ Comes to DCC March 5-8

February 24, 2015 – Members of Dutchess Community College’s Masquers’ Guild Theatre Club will bring David Auburn’s drama “Proof” to the stage March 5-7 at 8 p.m. and March 8 at 2 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre in Dutchess Hall on the College’s Poughkeepsie campus.

The play centers around Catherine, the daughter of a recently deceased mathematician who must fight to prove the authorship of a landmark proof that is discovered among her father’s papers. While dealing with her father’s legacy of genius and mental illness, she also must struggle with the realization that she may share his brilliance as well as his madness.

DCC’s performance will be directed by Erik Andrews.

Tickets will be sold at the door; $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and free for DCC students.
