Kingston Woman Arrested for Drugs after Accident

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Catherine A. McDonough, 21 years old, from Kingston, New York for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree- D Felony, Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs and Resisting Arrest.
On June 17, 2016 Members of SP Ellenville and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident involving a vehicle off the roadway. Further investigation revealed that McDonough was impaired by drugs. While being placed under arrest McDonough began resisting and fighting with the police. McDonough was found to be in possession of approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine.
McDonough was processed at SP Ellenville and arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court in front of Town Justice Charles Dechon, who remanded McDonough to the Ulster County Jail on $5000 cash or $10,000 secured bond. McDonough was scheduled to re-appear in te Town of Wawarsing Court on 06/24/16 at 8:30 AM.
