Man arrested for aggravated DWI after violating an order of protection.

State Police from SP Livingston arrested Matthew Oats,49, from Claverack on June 17, 2016 after the subject returned to his residence, violating an order protection issued after a previous domestic dispute had occurred.  Troopers located Mr. Oats outside the residence in his vehicle.  The investigation revealed that Mr. Oats had been drinking when he returned to the residence to retrieve belongings.  He was arrested for Criminal Contempt 2nd degree,  driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a BAC over .18%.  He was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and remanded to Columbia County Jail on $500 bail/ $1000 bond.
