State Police in Brewster arrest Carmel man for felony DWI

PRESS RELEASE

Carmel, New York - On June 15, 2016, New York State Police from the Brewster Barracks arrested Ryan D. Williams, age 29, of Carmel, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years. 

?Troopers stopped the vehicle Williams was operating on State Route 52 for having a loud, inadequate exhaust.  Williams was found to be intoxicated at the time of the traffic stop.

The defendant provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .10% and was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Justice Court.  Williams was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail and scheduled to return to the Town of Carmel Court on July 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
