Long Island man arrested for possessing LSD and MDMA

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Ryan Morrison, age 23 of East Northport, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, a Class C Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Mr. Morrison was traveling west on State Route 17 when the car he was operating was stopped for a traffic infraction. Subsequent to the traffic stop, both the front seat passenger, York Iguchi, age 23 of East Northport, NY and back seat passenger, Taylor Sinkiewicz, age 24 of Brooklyn, NY were found to possess small quantities of marijuana. Further investigation based on a probable cause search of Morrison’s vehicle revealed that he possessed approximately 1 milligram of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide or LSD and ½ gram of MDMA.

Both Mr. Iguchi and Ms. Sinkiewicz were issued appearance tickets for the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana charges with return dates set for July 14th, 2016 at 9:30am in the Town of Mamakating Court.

Mr. Morrison was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. He was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Justice Dolan and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and $5,000 bond to reappear Tuesday June 14th at 9am
