Stockport, New York – On June 8, 2016, New York State Police from the Livingston Barracks arrested William Baldwin, III, age 35, of Ghent, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years.

Troopers were dispatched to Lower Post Road by Columbia County 911 to check on Baldwin’s welfare.  Baldwin’s truck was parked partially in the roadway after he had run out of fuel.  While the responding trooper interviewed Baldwin, he observed clues that indicated that the defendant was intoxicated.

Mr. Baldwin was arraigned in the Town of Stockport Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to return to the Town of Stockport Court on June 20, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
