County Clerks Throughout New York State Meet for Spring Conference

 

Poughkeepsie, New York – The New York State Association of County Clerks (NYSACC) representing all 62 elected or appointed County Clerks and the New York City Register within the State convened earlier this week for their spring conference.  Dutchess County Clerk and President of NYSACC, Bradford H. Kendall, hosted the association meeting at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center.

 Representatives from the New York State Office of Court Administration, New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the New York State Land Title Association and other agencies presented to the group providing updates and highlights to procedures on e-filing, motor vehicle licensing as well as other functions performed by clerk offices.

 In addition to educational programs, attendees took the time to recognize outstanding County Clerk’s.  Honorees were selected by their peers. Wayne County Clerk Michael Jankowski was awarded the 2016 Clerk of the Year.  Annual Achievement Awards were bestowed upon Warren County Clerk Pamela Vogel, Wayne County Clerk Michael Jankowski, and Westchester County Clerk Timothy Idoni.  Cayuga County Clerk Susan Dwyer was honored with the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kendall is honored and privileged to serve as President of the Association for the 2016-2017 term.  He stated, “Every day, the 62 County Clerks across New York State work diligently deciphering, translating, and explaining the complexities of the many layers of government to our constituents.  It is our responsibility and our challenge to continually make the case to our partners in government that our offices are crucial to building and maintaining the people’s trust in governance.” 

For over 75 years, the New York State Association of County Clerks (NYSACC) has served as a bi-partisan organization dedicated to promoting a standard of excellence in their service to the public through representation, education and advocacy.
