Four arrested for Burglary in Catskill

PRESS RELEASE

State Police at Catskill arrested the following subjects after an investigation into suspicious activity that occurred in the vicinity of Becks Rd and Joel Austin Rd.  Several subjects were seen running through private property and another was found in a vehicle. Police apprehended the subjects and later determined that they had entered a private residence on Becks Rd in the Town of Catskill and stole items from within. As a result four suspects from Catskill were arrested for Burglary in the Second Degree (class C Felony) and Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree (class E felony): Christopher Geiger, age 17, Rae-Kwon Hall, age 19, Lamar Lawrence, age 21 and Malcolm Dixon, age 17. Christopher Geiger was also charged with Trespass and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  An additional defendant, Frank Geiger, age 19, from Catskill, NY, was charged with Conspiracy in Fourth Degree.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Cairo Police Department who were also instrumental in locating the stolen property that had been hidden in the woods after the subjects fled.  All the suspects were arraigned before Village Justice Izzo in the Village of Catskill Court and were committed to The Greene County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 cash and $50,000.00 bond.
