Arrests Made During DWI Sobriety Checkpoint

On Saturday May 28th, 2016, the New York State Police conducted a joint agency DWI Sobriety Checkpoint with the Lewisboro Police Department on Route 35 in the Town of Lewisboro. During the detail the following arrests were made:
Michael Cawley, age 41, from Cross River, NY was arrested for DWI and provided a breath sample that indicated he had a .10% BAC.
Luciana V. Shortal, age 37, from Ridgefield, CT was arrested for Felony Aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle. Shortal refused to provide a breath sample.
Kristin M. Griffin, age 32, from Ridgefield, CT was arrested for DWI and refused to provide a breath sample.
Barbara G. Tonry, age 79, from Hamden, CT was arrested for DWI and provided a breath sample that indicated she had a .10% BAC.
In addition to the DWI arrests there were two arrests made for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, both violations.
All subjects were issued tickets to appear in the Town of Lewisboro Court on June 6, 2016 at 7:00 PM.
