New Jersey man arrested for kidnapping.

PRESS RELEASE

On May 25, 2016 the New York State Police in Haverstraw announce the arrest of RASHEED MCKENITH (39) of Newark, NJ for Kidnapping in the Second Degree.

A thorough investigation revealed that on April 30, 2016, McKenith abducted a woman against her will in Newark, NJ.  While traveling on the NY State Thruway in the Village of Sloatsburg, the woman was able to escape from the vehicle unharmed and seek help from passing motorists.  McKenith fled the area.  Interviews with witnesses at the scene and information obtained from the Newark, NJ Police Department led to the arrest of McKenith.  McKenith was arraigned in the Village of Sloatsburg Court and remanded to Rockland County Jail in lieu $25,000.00 cash bail.
