State Police investigate fatal car – motorcycle accident on St-202

The New York State Police in Haverstraw are investigating a fatal car vs motorcycle accident which occurred at 7:30 PM at the intersection of St-202 and Thiells Mt Ivy Road in the Town of Haverstraw.   A 2002 Suzuki motorcycle operated by ALBERTO RIVERA (44) of Thiells, N.Y. was traveling westbound on St-202.  A 1999 VW Passat operated by JONATHAN KAUFMAN (47) of Monsey, N.Y. was eastbound on St-202 and made a left turn onto Thiells Mt Ivy Road into the path of the motorcycle.  The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Passat ejecting Rivera.  Rivera was taken to Nyack Hospital and subsequently died as a result of his injuries suffered in the accident.
