State Police arrest Freehold man for raping a child

PRESS RELEASE
On 05/12/2016 The New York State Police at Catskill report the arrest of JOSEPH A. ANDRETTA, age 19, of Freehold, NY for the charges of Rape in the First Degree, Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree, both class B Felonies and Endangering the Welfare of a Child a class A Misdemeanor.
ANDRETTA is accused of having sexual relations with a twelve year old female at a private residence in the Village of Athens in November 2015. ANDRETTA was 18 years old at the time of the incident.
ANDRETTA was arraigned before Town of Catskill Justice Wooten and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.
The State Police were assisted in the case by The Village of Athens Police, The Village of Catskill Police, The Greene County Probation Department and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.
