Obituary, Frances Arlene Stevenson

Dover Plains – Frances Arlene Stevenson, 72, a longtime area resident died on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Stevenson was a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center retiring in 1982.

Born on September 27, 1943 in Tidoute, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Coulter) McClelland. On April 18, 1961 in Titusville, PA she married Donald Lee Stevenson who predeceased her on March 16, 2013. Mrs. Stevenson was a professional cake decorator and crafter.

Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her three daughters, Arlene Beebe and her husband, Robert, of Dover Plains, NY, Susan Patnode and her husband, Walter, of Wassaic, NY and Christine Cheney and her husband, Robert, of Amenia, NY; a brother, George McClelland of Titusville, PA and eleven grandchildren, Crystal Culmone, Robert, Kelly, and Nicholas Beebe, Steven Paraszti, Melissa Nobile, Russell McRoberts, and Joseph and Destiny Patnode. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Liam, Levi and Lyle Beebe, Makenzie and Dylan Paraszti, Hailey, Jacob, and Raeanna Culmone and Samantha and Chase Beebe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Tally Ho Club House, Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Burial will take place at South Amenia Cemetery at the family’s convenience. To send the family an online condolence, please visit www.hufcutfuneralhome.com .
