Obituary, Sarah E. Heilman

 

Millbrook – Sarah E. Heilman, known to friends as Sally, died Tuesday at home in Millbrook.

A longtime resident of Millbrook, Sally worked at New Horizons Resources, Inc. in Pleasant Valley, was on the Upton Lake Christian School board, and was a very active member of the Evangelical Free Church of Clinton Corners.

Sally was born May 12th, 1954, in Staten Island, to parents Terence and Elizabeth Thompson. They moved to Red Hook at a young age, where she was raised. She graduated from Vassar College in 1976.

She is survived by her four children, Marshall Heilman of Marina Del Rey, California, Wesley Heilman of Louisville, Kentucky, Courtney Heilman of Boston Massachusetts, and Adam Heilman of Louisville, Kentucky; her brother, Terence R. Thompson of Bryant, Arkansas; her sister Elizabeth Pancake of Boise, Idaho, and several nieces and nephews.

She will be loved and missed.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at  3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Silvieus officiating.

Burial will be in St. Andrews Episcopal Churchyard, Staten Island, on Thursday.
