KENT NY – Luis Jarama Loja a 40-year-old man has been accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the town of Kent NY.
Jarama Loja was arrested on April 28th and charged with second-degree rape, a felony. Police police started an investigation when Putnam County Child Protective Services reported that a 14-year-old girl may have been sexually abused.
A detective along with members of CPS and the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office, interviewed the girl, who said that Jarama Loja raped her on multiple occasions.
Jarama Loja, a Kent resident, was interviewed and arrested. He was arraigned in Kent Town Court and is due back on Wednesday.
Jarama Loja is being held at the Putnam County jail on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
