38 Motorists issued speeding tickets during School Zone Speed Enforcement detail

On April 18, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., the New York State Police conducted a School Zone Speed Enforcement Detail in the Town of Cortlandt area of Westchester County which yielded the following results:
School Zone Speed Arrests: 38
Cell Phone Violations: 1
Seat Belt Violations: 1
Total Tickets Issued: 40
When driving in neighborhoods with bus stops, schools and school zones, please watch out for children.
