  • CALENDAR CHANGE: The 33rd Annual CHS Student Art Show opens on Tuesday, April 26 (not Monday, April 25) in Casey Hall from 1:45-4 pm. Regular exhibit hours areApril 26-28 from 8 am to 3 pm, Thursday, April 28 from 6-8 pm and Friday, April 29 from8am to 1 pm.

  • Pupil Services Parent Seminar, Wednesday, May 11 at GFMS at 7pm.  Topic:  Pathways to Success: does the Car You Drive Really Matter? The audience will leave with the idea that success can be measured by standards not typically portrayed in the media.  This workshop is free and open to all parents and staff members.

  • TONIGHT!! CHS Rock Club show, Friday, April 15 at GFMS begins at 6:30pm.  Songs of Foo Fighters, Green Day, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and more.  Tickets are $5/pp.
  • The CHS Parents Association would like to thank all the wonderful community members and parents who made this year’s Junior Post Prom Party a success.  Over $12,000 in donations (not including some of the food, drinks, etc.) was received and over 150 volunteers helped decorate and chaperone. Over 400 teens attended the party! Your help and support is truly appreciated.
  • Josten’s will be at CHS on April 19 and April 20 from 10am to 1 pm in the cafeteria to take orders for Caps and Gowns. Caps and Gowns can also be ordered at www.jostens.com  Students must purchase a cap and gown to participate in the graduation ceremony on June 23.
  • The CHS Parents Association Merit Award application is now available.Applicants must be graduating with their class this June and must attend a technical school, 2-year college, or 4pyear college after graduation. Applications may be downloaded in the scholarship section in Naviance. Completed applications are due by 5pm on Tuesday, April 26
  • CHS Juniors will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives at PNW BOCES in Yorktown Heights on Tuesday, April 26. Permission slips are due by Monday, April 18 and are available in the Guidance Office or the Guidance website. If unable to attend this trip, there will be a public College Fair, also on April 26 at Fox Lane High School in Bedford from 6-9pm
  • Carmel Rams Baseball hosts “A Nite at the Races” on Friday, April 29 at Our Lady of the Lakes, 10 Fair St., Carmel. Doors open at 7pm and races start at8pm. $35/pp at the door or in advance, includes dinner, coffee & dessert. Cash bar. $300/table of 10 reserved and paid in advance.   • If you are interested in playing a sport next school year and you cannot come over the summer to be examined by the school doctor, he will be in the school in May to do physical exams. There are only a few openings available. Schedule an appointment with the school nurse during your FREE period before MAY. Don’t wait until the last minute.

1. The Town of Kent Beautification Committee of volunteers will sponsor a cleanup of roadsides and lakeshores on Saturday, April 23 from 9am to 1pm throughout the town.
2.Also on April 23-Lake Carmel Earth Day Cleanup competition takes place for children ages 16 and under with adult supervision.
