tate Police Arrest Monroe Man for Drug Possession, DWAI-Drugs..

The New York State Police at Monroe announce the arrest of Bartholomew Atkinson, age 28, of Monroe, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Atkinson was operating on Lakes Rd in the Town of Monroe late friday night for various traffic offenses. Atkinson was found to possess more than one ounce of concentrated cannabis after being placed under arrest for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Atkinson was also found to possess several suboxone tablets, several prescription medications outside of their original container and more than 4 ounces of marijuana. Atkinson was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Fourth Degree and several vehicle and traffic related offenses.

Atkinson was arraigned before the Town of Monroe Justice Milligram and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $15,000 cash bail and $30,000 bond.
