State Police in Brewster arrest Connecticut man for using counterfeit currency

Southeast, New York – On March 28, 2016, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Brewster barracks arrested Aaron Coderre, age 25, of Brookfield, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree, a Class C Felony, and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Following an investigation conducted by the State Police, it was discovered that Coderre used counterfeit currency to purchase X-box video gaming equipment.  The incident occurred in the Town of Southeast on March 6, 2016.

Coderre was arraigned at the Village of Brewster Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. His next
appearance is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on March 31, 2016 at Town of Southeast Court.
