New York State Police Raid Marihuana Grow Operation

Minisink, NY  –  On Thursday March 31, member of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, Troopers from Troop F Greenville, officers from the Town of Warwick Police Department, executed several search warrants in the Orange County area.  Officers executed the search warrant at 103 Cosh Road in the Town of Minisink after receiving reports of unusual activity at the residence.  The 3 month investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
As a result of the execution of the warrants, approximately 340 marihuana plants, several pieces of equipment used to grow the plants, and approximately $2,500 were seized.  Also secured was 11 pounds of processed marihuana, valued at $27,000.  A Smith and Wesson 38 caliber handgun was also recovered and secured.
Isaac Lugo, 29, of Warwick, NY was located inside the residence and charged with the Felony of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 1st.  He was arraigned before Hon. George Hadden, T/J of Minisink and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.  He is scheduled to re-appear before the Court on April 16th at 5:00PM.
The investigation is still on going and future arrests are anticipated.
