Good news!  The PRC was the “Charity of the Month” in February for Town Square Pizza in Patterson, owned by Sauro’s Deli. Each month they donate a portion of their proceeds from the sale of pizza to a different organization. Terry Ariano, the PRC’s Program Coordinator,  received a check for $1020!  “Thanks to the generosity of Sauro’s and to all of the pizza eaters in the area!  This month the Rotary’s Interact Club will be the recipients, so if you’ve got an urge for delicious pizza, please support their cause!”

Easter Baskets are being readied for distribution.  Bette Slocum, longtime volunteer, board member and supporter of the PRC spearheads the holiday basket project. The baskets will be distributed the week before Easter to children of client families of the PRC, and include small stuffed animals, some goody’s, games and activity books.  Adults who have been brought to the attention of the PRC through friends or clergy who are experiencing medical difficulties or who are  homebound receive the PRC’s Sunshine Baskets.  The gift basket project has been a staple of the PRC’s for the last 15- 20 years.

Catholic Charities will now come to the PRC  once a month to help those who are qualified apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.. SNAP is a service that assists low income  working families as well as seniors and the disabled to put “…nutritious food on the table.”  Call Terry with any questions about this at  855-3459.
