The search for missing Stanford man continues

PRESS RELEASE

Stanford, New York – The New York State Police, New York State Forest Rangers and numerous volunteers from the area continue to search for Edward E. Lopez, missing since Monday, March 14, 2016.

We request any residents or businesses with surveillance cameras in the Town of Stanford or the immediate area kindly check their surveillance footage for Monday, between the hours of 4:45p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

If anyone observes anything suspicious during that time frame, they are asked to contact the State Police by calling (845) 677-7300.

  
**UPDATE**
The New York State Police would like to thank those who have called in tips or sightings of Mr. Lopez.  We are continuing our search for Mr. Lopez with the assistance of the New York State Forest Rangers and the Westchester County Police Department Canine Units.

We are requesting that everyone with sheds or unoccupied structures located on their property check the interior for Mr. Lopez.

The State Police would like to thank the Stanford Fire Department and mutual aid departments that have assisted with this investigation.

Stanford, New York – The New York State Police from Poughkeepsie are searching for 68-year-old Edward E. Lopez, who was reported missing from the Lakeview Chateau Community Residence located on W. Hunns Lake Road in the Town of Stanford.

Lopez was last seen at the Lakeview Chateau before 5pm on March 14, 2016 and it is believed that he left the residence on foot.  He is described as a black Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 140 pounds.  Lopez has a large gray beard and afro.  He was seen wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans.

Lopez suffers from Schizophrenia and may be in need of immediate medical attention.

Lopez has ties to the New York City area.
