Lucy A. Becker (Troy) passed away at home on March 5, 2016. She was 86 years old.
Lucy was born in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late John and Bridget (Fitzgerald) Troy. She graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx.
On October 25, 1947 she married Arthur F. Becker at St. Luke’s Church, Bronx, NY. In 1973 she moved to Patterson, NY. Lucy was an administrative assistant with Pawling Corporation for over 20 years before retiring in 1996. She was also an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Patterson Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her children; Barbara, Arthur Jr. (Marion Swarm-Becker), Eileen and Gerald and daughter-in-law Valerie, her grandchildren; Maureen (Paul) Pianka, John (Anna), Robert, Kathleen ‘Katie’, Kevin, Joseph (Heather Karalis-Becker) and Erin, her great grandchildren; John Jr., George, Tatiana and Kayla. She was loved by all and will be missed by many, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and sons, John and Robert; her siblings, Thomas, John, Ellen ‘Eileen’, William, Gerald, Mary (Nan) T. LeBel and Francis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Haviland Drive, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Friends may call at 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Wednesday March 9, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
