On March 2, 2016, the New York State Police Internal Affairs Bureau arrested Marko Kos, 35, of Brewster, NY, for Grand Larceny 3rd degree, a class D Felony.  Kos is a New York State Trooper assigned to the Somers Barracks.

Kos was arrested for his role in the theft of approximately $22,000 in landscaping equipment that was reported stolen to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on September 25, 2014. The theft occurred while Kos was off duty.

Kos entered the Division of State Police in September of 2003, and has served in Troop K since that time.

Kos has been suspended without pay and was arraigned in Town of Southeast Court.
