State Police investigate the shooting death of a family dog

PRESS RELEASE

Gallatin, New York – On February 20, 2016, the New York State Police at Livingston commenced an investigation into the shooting death of a Siberian Husky from a Taghkanic Road residence.

The family reported that their husky, named Buddy Clover, had gotten off of his lead on February 18, 2016.  Buddy Clover was eventually located later that evening by a family member in a wooded area behind their home with a leg injury.   During the overnight hours, the Buddy unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Round Top Animal Hospital evaluated Buddy Clover and discovered that he had been shot with a small caliber firearm.
