State Police investigate the threat of school violence at Webutuck High School

PRESS RELEASE

North East, New York – On February 29, 2016, the New York State Police from Dover Plains responded to the Webutuck High School, located on Haight Road, to investigate a threat of school violence.  The school, following protocol, was immediately placed in a shelter-in-place.

The State Police conducted a search of the school and determined that the threat was unsubstantiated.

The investigation into the threat is continuing and anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the State Police at (845) 677-7300.
