Putnam Valley Man Arrested on Ohio Warrant

 Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Putnam Valley man on an Ohio arrest warrant.

On February 17, 2016 at 2:45 p.m., William J. Tucker, 61, of 322 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley was taken into custody by Criminal Investigators on an outstanding Probation Violation/Child Support Warrant from Medina County, Ohio. Mr. Tucker had absconded from Medina, Ohio in 2006. Investigators from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office had recently determined the location of Mr. Tucker, and requested that Mr. Tucker be taken into custody on the warrant and held pending extradition proceedings. Mr. Tucker was arrested and charged as a Fugitive from Justice. He was arraigned before Putnam County Supreme Court Justice James Rooney and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility where he is to be held without bond pending extradition by the Ohio authorities.
