Milton man arrested following fraud investigation

Hyde Park, New York – On February 17, 2016, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested 36-year-old Robert Bari of Milton, New York, for 11 counts of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.

In January of 2016, Investigators were contacted by Williams Lumber and Home Stores for a report of suspected credit card fraud.  Subsequent to an investigation, it was discovered that Bari fraudulently made multiple purchases at 4 different Williams Lumber locations between November of 2015 and January of 2016, using multiple victim’s credit card accounts.

Bari was arraigned before the Hyde Park Justice Court.  He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.   He is due to appear before the Towns of Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley, East Fishkill, and Rhinebeck Courts at a later date and time.  Additional charges are pending.
