Poughkeepsie man charged with assault following a domestic disturbance

Poughkeepsie, New York – On February 18, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jay T. Gladson, age 28, of Poughkeepsie, New York. Gladson was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, Aggravated Family Offense, a Class E Felony, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On February 4th, Troopers received a law enforcement referral concerning a possible assault of a 17-year-old Poughkeepsie woman.  An investigation revealed that Gladson had choked the victim and struck her in the head with a glass bottle during a domestic dispute that occurred in the City of Pougkeepsie.

Gladson was located on February 18, 2016 at the City of Poughkeepsie Court where he appeared for unrelated charges.

Gladson was arraigned at the City of Poughkeepsie Court.  His next court appearance was scheduled for February 19, 2016, at 9:00 AM.
