On Thursday January 28 , 2016 the Millbrook VFW Post 9008 helped sponsor a flag football clinic for Veterans in the P.T.S.D. Program from the Hudson Valley Veterans Administration Medical Center – Montrose , N.Y. Campus . The clinic was held on the indoor turf field at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center in Newburgh , N.Y. Special guest coaches included former New York Football Giants Super Bowl XXV Champs Odessa Turner & Stephen Baker , former Green Bay Packers Super Bowl XXXI champ Gary Brown and 7 year NFL Player with the Miami Dolphins & Tampa Bay Buccaneers Damian Gregory .
The Veterans were broken up into 4 teams to receive hands on coaching and drills from the NFL Alumni Players . After the training session was completed the Veterans played in a flag football game . The day ended with a pizza party and an autograph session . Everyone involved had a great time and it was a huge morale booster for our Veterans .
