Putnam Valley Woman Faces Felony Charges

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Putnam Valley woman on felony charges.

On October 5, 2015, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a larceny of an automobile and a burglary that occurred at the same location in the Town of Putnam Valley. After an investigation by the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation, a suspect was developed. On February 2, 2016, the suspect, identified as Katlyn Montalvo, 20, of 642 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley surrendered herself to members of the BCI. Ms. Montalvo was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, felonies. Ms. Montalvo was arraigned by Putnam Valley Town Justice Gina Capone pending a February 23, 2016 court appearance to answer the charges.

If found guilty of the felony charges, the defendant faces up to seven years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine for each charge.
