Southeast Man Charged With Petit Larceny

 Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Southeast man on a charge of Petit Larceny.

William Galvez, 26, of 37 Elmwood Drive in the Town of Southeast was arrested on January 20, 2016 and charged with Petit Larceny. The arrest was the result of an investigation into the larceny of jewelry from a laundromat located in the Town of Southeast. The investigation revealed that Mr. Galvez had taken the jewelry. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and released in his own recognizance pending a February 4, 2016 appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court to answer the charge.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
