Connecticut man charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following crash investigation

Southeast, New York – On January 20, 2016, New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 38-year-old Paul E. Iannacone of Torrington, Connecticut, for Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to a two-car auto collision that occurred at the Southeast Rest area, off of Interstate 684.  Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Iannacone was found to be impaired by drugs at the time of the crash.  No one was injured as a result of the crash.

Iannacone was evaluated by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert and released with Traffic Tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on
February 2, 2016 at 3 p.m.
