State Police arrest Cairo man for assault

      On 1/2/16, The New York State Police at Catskill arrested ANTHONY N. DERASMO, age 25, from Cairo, NY for Assault 2nd, a class D Felony, and Assault 3rd, an A Misdemeanor.

      New York State Police received a report of victims being assaulted on January 1st, 2016. The investigation revealed that DERASMO punched two different victims, causing multiple facial fractures to one of the victims. DERASMO was arraigned in the Town of Cairo Town Court before Hon. Miller who remanded DERASMO to the Greene County Jail on $5,000 Cash Bail or $10,000 Secured Bond. DERASMO is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Cairo Town Court on 1/5/16 at 3:00 pm.
