Patterson Woman Faces Multiple Charges

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Patterson woman on variety of charges, including a felony, following an incident at a Southeast residence.

On January 1, 2016 at 2:34 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Thomas Lee responded to a 911 report of a disturbance at 333 Route 312 in the Town of Southeast. An investigation revealed that Andrea G. Soto, 24, of 1094 Route 311, Patterson had shattered a bedroom window where two children were sleeping and then used a rock to damage a vehicle in the driveway. It was determined that Ms. Soto went to the residence after having engaged in an argument via telephone with an adult at that location earlier in the evening. Ms. Soto fled the scene on foot prior to the deputy’s arrival, but she was later located and taken into custody without incident. Ms Soto was arrested and charged with the following crimes: Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a felony; Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a misdemeanor; and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor. She was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment. If found guilty of the felony charge, the defendant could face up to four years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000.00.
