Pet of The Week: Harriet

Harriet is a young 8-9 month old shiny black kitty looking for an extra special and understanding family.  She’s a shy girl who loves to play with any available toy.  She’ll purr and rub against the door of her cage and wants to be friends, she just needs a patient and calm family to give her time to feel comfortable.  Harriet has some corneal scarring from a terrible eye infection she had when she was found as a tiny kitten outdoors.  We took great care of her and made sure she got all the necessary medical care.  She sees just fine now, and we know she’ll blossom in the right home.   Is there a family out there with lots of toys for sweet Harriet?  Come and meet her from 10-4:15 daily at the Putnam Humane Society.  Dog lovers can visit with the dogs from 10-3 daily.  The shelter is located at 68 Old Route 6 in Carmel, NY.  (845) 225-7777.   PHS would like to thank everyone who donated holiday toys and treats from our Amazon Wish List for our dogs and cats!  www.puthumane.org
