State Police arrest Dover woman for violating order of protection

Dover, New York – On December 27, 2015, New York State Police from Dover arrested 38-year-old Gina M. Nelson of Dover, New York, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On December 22, 2015, Troopers were dispatched to investigate an order of protection violation.  An investigation revealed that Nelson violated a court order of protection issued by the Town of Dover Court by contacting the victim on several occasions.

Nelson was arraigned in the Town of Dover Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.  She is due to re-appear in the Town of Dover Court on January 18, 2016.
